Last updated 16 October 2026

This privacy policy explains how Advantek Group collects and uses personal information when you visit advantekgroup.com, contact us, or apply for a job through our career portal at jobs.advantekgroup.com. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the data protection laws of Norway and Sweden.

Who is responsible for your data

Advantek AS, part of Advantek Group, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Advantek AS
Skibåsen 33H, 4636 Kristiansand, Norway
Email: post@advantek.no (Norway) · post@advantek.se (Sweden)

What we collect and why

When you contact us. If you use the contact form on our website, we collect your first name, last name, email address and the message you write. If you email or call one of our employees, we receive the information you share with us. We use this to answer your enquiry and follow up on it. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and (b)).

If you are a client, supplier or other business contact. When we work with your company, we store work-related contact details for you and your colleagues, such as name, job title, company, work email and phone number, together with our correspondence, agreements, orders and invoices. We use this to deliver our services, manage the relationship, handle invoicing and payments, and keep in touch about relevant services. Our legal basis is the agreement with your company, our legal obligations under accounting law, and our legitimate interest in maintaining business relationships (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b), (c) and (f)).

When you apply for a job or register your CV. Our career portal at jobs.advantekgroup.com runs on the recruitment system RecMan. When you create a profile, register your CV or apply for a position, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, contact details, CV, education, work experience, application letter and any attachments. If you choose “Apply with LinkedIn” or a similar service, the information in that profile is imported. The system also records your IP address for security. We use this information to assess your application, contact you about relevant positions and, with your agreement, present your profile to clients. Our legal basis is your consent and steps taken at your request before entering into an employment or consultancy agreement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and (b)). You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your profile in the portal or by contacting us.

When you browse our website. With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how our website is used, for example which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located (country or city level), and which device and browser are used. Google Analytics uses cookies and a pseudonymous identifier, and we do not use it to identify you personally. Our legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can change at any time in the cookie settings. See our Cookie Policy below.

To keep the website secure. Our contact form is protected by hCaptcha to prevent spam, which processes technical information such as your IP address and browser data. Our web server also keeps short-term technical logs, including IP addresses, to protect the website against misuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping our services secure (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries through the contact form or by email are kept as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any follow-up, and are then deleted, unless the enquiry leads to a customer relationship.
  • Details of clients, suppliers and other business contacts are kept for as long as we have a business relationship with your company, and accounting records are kept for as long as accounting law requires.
  • Candidate profiles and applications are deleted three years after you last updated your profile, unless you have been employed by us. You can delete your profile yourself, or ask us to delete it, at any time before then.
  • Google Analytics data is kept for a limited period and then deleted automatically.
  • We keep information for longer only when the law requires it, for example for accounting.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements:

  • Recruitment Manager AS (RecMan), which provides and operates our recruitment system and career portal.
  • Google, for Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (only with your consent), and for loading web fonts.
  • CookieYes, which stores your cookie choices.
  • hCaptcha (Intuition Machines), which protects our contact form against spam.
  • Our website hosting and email providers, and the providers of our business systems, such as our customer relationship (CRM) and finance systems.

If you are a candidate, we may share your profile with clients in connection with a specific assignment, but only after agreeing this with you. We may also disclose information when required by law, a court order or a public authority, or if our company is merged or acquired.

Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some of our providers, such as Google and hCaptcha, may process data in the United States. When this happens, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses to keep your data protected.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have incorrect data corrected and to have your data deleted. You can also ask us to restrict or stop certain processing, object to processing based on our legitimate interest, receive your data in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you have given. To use your rights, email post@advantek.no. We will reply free of charge and within one month.

If you think we process your personal data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or, in Sweden, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and agreements with our service providers. No method of transfer over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and act quickly if something goes wrong.
