Tell us about your professional background!
After completing studies in marketing and management, I joined one of the main service provider companies to the O&G sector in the region where I contributed to enhancement of sales for over 10 years. Over time, I wanted to broaden my experience, and given my previous experience with technical sales and customer service, project management seemed like a good next step for me. It was through Advantek that I got this opportunity.
What do you work with here in Advantek?
Today, I work as a project manager for marine projects at one of our customers in Kristiansand.
Even though I’m not an engineer by education, my employment path has made it imperative for me to dive deep into technical matters. I am hands-on, and I approach new topics with curiosity and attentiveness That drive to understand things has made it easier for me to switch between different roles and tasks over time.
What do you like to do in your spare-time?
A lot of my free time is devoted to my two dogs. When I am not walking my dogs, I enjoy relaxing on the sofa with a good book. I’ve also been trying to learn Spanish for some time now, it is part of my personal self-development plan. I have it as a goal to speak the language properly one day.
Do you have a fun fact about yourself that you would like to share?
Well, if we can call it a fun fact, when the weather’s nice, I ride my motorcycle.
It might not be what people expect when they see me, but I really enjoy riding my motorcycle. I enjoy taking short road trips alone or together with my son, as he rides too.
What is your best memory with Advantek?
I have not been here long; however, it is easy to notice that Advantek puts a lot of effort into taking care of the well-being of its consultants. We have close follow up and frequent social gatherings, like the Christmas party and summer get-togethers, which are good opportunity to get to know other consultants and management, build network and they get better integrated in the company.
